Changing Trajectory

In 2001, Oprah Winfrey was introducing Quincy Jones as a Kennedy Center honoree and she used a phrase that has stuck with me all these years. She described him as someone who could change the TRAJECTORY of someone's life.

I think it stuck with me because as a part-time sci-fi nerd, I know that changing trajectory only requires small nudges and adjustments that can change your course and your destination.

Business philosopher Jim Rohn shared a similar observation when he said:
"Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while failure is simply a few errors in judgement, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgements that leads us to either fortune or failure."
So each decision we make can be life altering, for better or for worse. We can ALWAYS recover from a wrong decision but indecision is what can hurt us. I don't know who said it but I like how it is said, that:
"Procrastination is failure on the installment plan."
COMMITMENT will move us forward and allow us to make course adjustments as need. On top of all that, we have SERENDIPITY working in our favor!
